When I was still young, there was a time I thought my family business which is dealing with timber was uncool. I also felt embarrassed for living in the countryside and even sometimes I wanted to hide it in my mind.

Around that time, a friend who came to Nakatsugawa and said.

"I want to take a bath of cypress! It should be healed in cypress!"

When I heard those words, I realized for the first time how blessed I was for living inside this forest.

For my friends living in a city that was surrounded by concrete, Hinoki might be the best luxury.

However, I used to think that the place I live surrounded by the Hinoki cypress is just becoming a matter of fact. Nowadays, I would like to spread this power of "Kiso Hinoki cypress," a famous tree of Nakatsugawa, from my hometown that we should be proud of.

And I have to deliver it to the whole of Japan. No, to the world!"
